Evaluation for ADHD, anxiety, and depression

An evaluation considers symptoms, medical history, sleep, functioning at school or work, previous treatment, substance use when relevant, and current and past medications. The goal is to understand the clinical picture and explain appropriate treatment options.

Medication review and ongoing management

Discuss whether your current treatment is helping, any side effects, and concerns about your medication plan. When medication is appropriate, follow-up helps assess response and tolerability and determine whether treatment needs adjustment. Recommendations are individualized; a visit does not guarantee a particular medication.

Child and adolescent mental health care

Children ages 8 and up and adolescents are welcome for age-appropriate evaluation and medication management for concerns including ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Care considers development, school and family context, and the young person’s experience. Parent or guardian involvement and coordination with existing clinicians are addressed as appropriate to the patient’s care and applicable requirements.

A coordinated approach

With appropriate authorization, the practice can communicate with therapists and other treating clinicians when it helps the treatment plan. When needs exceed the scope of outpatient care, the next step may include referral or coordination with a more appropriate service.

What to bring to your first visit

  • An updated medication list, including supplements and any side effects you have noticed.
  • Previous treatment information and relevant records or laboratory results.
  • The symptoms, daily challenges, and goals you most want to address.

Provide sensitive records through the practice’s secure intake process, rather than ordinary website comments or email.
